Salmon are central to Alaska’s soul. This design began as a logo. A valued repeat customer (all my customers are valued and greatly appreciated) asked me to put this design on a hoodie for her, so I did, and she let me share it with you. For some reason, I find the “Ask about the Fish” tagline funny, but I know how important salmon and tourism are to our people, and I have a weird sense of humor sometimes. I offer this design on heavier-weight Ts and hoodies, which I prefer to wear when fishing, often in multiple layers.

"Alaska: Ask About the Fish" salmon design on “Alaska Standard” Hoodie
I call this the “Alaska Standard” hoodie because it’s not too thick or thin but just the right weight to keep nearby as one of the essential layers Alaskans always have on hand. Beyond that, it has a hood to keep the head warm around the campfire, keep the mosquitos off when one needs to, and a pass-through pocket to store found treasures on forest or beach walks or keep your hands warm. Nothing’s perfect, but if there is a perfect middle ground, I think this is it.
