Saw-whet Simplicity

A swirly saw-whet owl design I drew thinking of a small owl that used to sit on a spruce branch below the ski lift at Skiland in Fairbanks when I was patrolling there. Skiland features the farthest north chairlift in North American, and one of the farthest north in the world. It’s was a Mom-and-Pop operation at the time, a real family affair where the only people making any money were the lifites and the kids serving chilli in the lodge. It was, and remains, a true gem. (I honestly have absolutely no intention to. It's kind of a jerk thing to do.)
